If you can't find one of Jason's, I have just fitted an Allisport intercooler into the original intercooler space, $603 aus delivered to my house. With the pump tuned the mid range power is greatly increased, much better to drive, very happy.

Hi Comocean which uprated one did you get? The "double core 80% more surface area" direct replacement or the "50% more surface are" one?

For the money I would like to go for the 80% direct replacement but would like to know if it actually fits easily?

    Thanks Alan

I second that last post. Also what website did u buy it from? Are you using silicon hoses? Do u have air con? Apparently some direct drop in IC wont fit air con models.

The double core 80% only required minor surgery to the top plate holding the radiator and inter-cooler. Just a section trimmed Off with the dremal/tin snips where the top intercooler pipe comes out.

One of the best modifications I have made. Once tuned the car drove so so much better. Smiles every time I start her up

Intercooler was bought direct from Allisport, it is the drop in direct replacement. I do have airconditioning and am using silicone hoses. With the air con on my egt's are now topping out around 680c about 40c less with no aircon, after the fuel pump tune when pushed hard although don't drive everyday like that.

APT Fabrications also have an intercooler for the 300Tdi. See here:
