    EFS Coils??

Have just ordered some EFS coils (2") from 4WD1 (220 a pr with free delivery), medium comfort, & was just wondering if anybody else has experience with these. I have Bilstien shocks so will keep them for a while, will be towing a van around a lot soon, that's the main reason for the lift . I have used EFS shocks before & found them to give a great ride so am presuming coils the same sort of ride.

Well Disco's gone now (had an accident) but to comment on the ride the suspension mix gave - BLOODY BRILLIANT. One of the smoothest rides I have had in a 4b whilst still being great for towing AND 4wding. I couldn't recommend this mix any better except to say this will be my preferred mix on any 4b I own

    Cool Not always.

Steelo, sorry to hear your Disco is defunct, can't say I share your good experience with EFS, our 300Tdi Disco came with EFS gas shocks on the rear, one tore in half on our year before last's trip up the Telegraph track, (bottom mounting pin broke out of the bottom tube, gas out/all oil gone, no control on LH rear corner.
I do not abuse my vehicle and was most surprised to see this happen, I have owned a few fourbies over the past 40 years and never ripped a shock apart before, I replaced the EFS's with new standard Boge hydraulic rear shocks and they withstood last years trip along the OTL track no probs and I did a camping trip part way up the track in May this year, the corrugations and wash outs on the PDR were horrendous after a reasonably big "wet", the standard hydraulics and standard rubber bushes, (not Poly), handled the job well, it rides a lot better.
I think a lot of the aftermarket stuff is aimed at the "extreme" end of the market and unfortunately some of it does not live up to its cost or supposed reputation.
The good standard ride qualities of Discos and Rangies are often spoilt by fitting some of these bolt on supposed improvements.

Sorry to hear, I had Bilstien shocks though not EFS, the coils were EFS medium comfort for a slightly firmer ride & towing
