    Hot Start Trouble

Done a run to barrington tops the other day,not that hot mid 30's and a few km's up the hill. Got to the top and the same thing happened x3 now, stopped for a break 5min ,went to start it and then the fans came on and it would not crank, not a sound?? And when the fans stopped nothing? ecu mate said water was 104c and fuel 60c .Had to run start it,drove for a while and it was right? Thinking solenoid or wiring to hot?

Just an update, ended running another wire from starter relay to solenoid the old wire was pretty hard and it ran at the back of the motor behind the exhaust manifold so i moved it . Hope it works.

It may help if engine type is mentioned, V8 or TDi

    barrington triangle

That's funny Must be Barrington tops, about a month ago I was driving along barrington tops rd. I stopped to show the kids an animal running into the bush and when I attempted to take off again I've stalled the engine (Tdi 300). I've tried to restart the engine and there was nothing, not a sound... I paused for a moment and thought about the fact this is the first time in the 2 years of owning the old girl (97 Disco) that I've had a problem like this. I've snapped an axle but I kinda helped that one. so the car wasn't going to start and the wife begun to look at me in a way as If she was imagining being stranded in the middle of the bush. thinking about what might cause this I check battery terminals and a few fuses than tried to wiggle the starter signal wire without branding my arm on the hot manifold. well that was the issue, she fired up and away we went again.
    same problem, same area. strange
