    Lifts

Hey guess I'm looking at lift kits for my d1 but not sure to do just a standard 2 inch or 3 spring or 2 inch spring with 2inch body or a 4" spring? What do you guys recommend?

ring suspension stuff or visit their website.

Say Dave said to tell you "I have a landrover discovery (engine type and trans type) with (any optional extras like the bull bar, winch, dual battery, tow pack long range tanks) and would like the mates rates kit to suit for a 2 inch lift please."

    They will say something like

    "certainly that will be $X"

    at which point you say

"My credit card detials are ABCD-EFGH-IJKL-MNOP"

    they will then say

"thank you for your business, where would you like the kit delivered"

    and you say

"(your most convenient shipping deleivery address)"

    and then they will say

"a pleasure doing business with you, dont forget to double check the fitting instructions on the website"

at which point, If you live in SEQ and you're lazy you might say

Dave IF I turned up with the change from $1k and a carton of mechanics lube of choice would you be willing to help me do the fit up?

what size tyres are you planning on running?

for 33s a 3 suspension and 2 inch body lift is pretty much perfect

I'm not sure if I want to run 33s or 35s I love the look of 35s but are they really worth it?

Depends whether you would enjoy spending a fortune on engineering costs, or fines when the police pull you over.

nope only on the mates rates kits.

    let me be blunt

Ive installed dozens of their kits and only ever had one complaint and that was from a guy who bought the kit but had to sell it before it could be fitted.

if you upgrade and strengthen your drivetrain then 35s are worth it. if you don't then will be nothing but a pain

Suppose 33s, good suspension and lockers will take me everywhere 35s do and for less so thats probly the way to go, I'm thinking about starting with 2" suspension and the guard chop then in the future do a 2 inch body

dont bother with the body lift.

the chassis is the grounding point everything else can be sorted with guard work.
