Went through 3 coils this afternoon..

I went for a drive today, some mud and water. Everything was fine. Then it started to miss, got worse and worse until it would not run. So after a quick gander i ran to repco to grab another coil. That went great,t hen it did the same about 15mins later. So i had to get another coil. Same deal, 15mins down the road it died.

Any ideas? i only just got it home and had to push it the little bit. The leads are not that old really, a few weeks if that. Plugs im not sure about, but i cant see them killing coils (unless im missing something).
    What else could it be?
    Cheers in advance.

Do a search for Bee Utey's Bosch ignition module conversion. It converts the expensive and unreliable Lucas module to a cheap part easily accessible from wreckers.

Well super **** didnt know how to look up "BIM024" and "MEC717" so i went to Repco. $165 odd later i had my parts.

Did the conversion and it seems to be running well (still has a cylinder that coughs once in a while and IAC or TPS playing games) but it hasnt killed the coil, yet.

Just installed a new IAC, so i wonder if that will improve it abit more.
