As far as I know coil spring spacers are illegal in NSW.
I had a set (Poly type) and was knocked back for Rego, I would check with RTA before you buy, Regards Frank.

I cant see the point as it makes no difference to wheel travel if your going to do that why not get longer springs and shockies - that way you have more articulation and height

Depending if you have a rubber coupling at the back of your tailshaft more than 2 inches will really put a lot of strain on it there are ways around it like a tail shaft spacer or uni conversion. I have also considered coil spacers to fit bigger tyres which really is the best kind of lift there is. But you wont gain any suspension travel. But a lot of people do it so they must be alright.
    Good luck with it mate

We have the rubber coupling in our D2, it's the factory unit, and going strong since 2000 and has been running a 4" lift for 6 years...

A lift alone does NOT allow larger tyres.
All a lift does is change the static ride height.

Without other modifications, under compression the tyre can and if large enough, will contact the body work.

The constant comment that a lift (on its own) allows bigger rubber is incorrect.

I've had a 2 inch lift in my D1 for 12 months and the coupling is shagged and I've been able to fit 32x11.5 tyres no worries the right offset is the key I found all I've done is extend the bump stop a bit and adjust the steering stopper. I'm not saying a lift is the only thing you need but it's better than a kick in the pants. Not here to argue just trying to help a bloke out...

    Terrafirma coil spacers!

Ahh.. See what you just said...
"I extended the bump stop a bit"
    And
    "Offset is important"

That's exactly the sort of additional adjustments needed.

And an understanding of their effect on the whole suspension behaviour.

thanks everyone for the advice. I currently have a new Terrafirma 2 inch lift and was thinking if they were worth putting in during the suspension install.
