There is a grommet behind the windscreen washer bottle. Whip the 4 bolts of, 2 top 2 in in wheel well and you will see it. Pops out in the footwell.
Hey guys, what's the best way to get wiring from the second battery on the passenger side through the firewall to the cabin so I can run it down to the back to a plug panel I want to install to run a fridge and other things? I poked aound yesterday and maybe I'm going blind, but I can't see an obvious entry, although it must be there somewhere. I'd prefer not to run it along the chassis rail if possible, but to instead go through the firewall somewhere. Anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks. I'll give that a go today.

It works!
Got the water bottle half unbolted, found the grommet behind it (which wasn't sealed properly, incidentally), pulled out the glovebox to get behind the dash. After a lot of fiddling I eventually noticed a light spot right at the back and managed to get a stretched coat hanger through it. It took several goes, but I finally got the 6 mm dual-core cable pulled through the hole, from the cabin into the engine bay. Then I quit for lunch.
Now to tie off the end and then figure out best to run the wire to the back. Think I'll run it under the door kick strips and then up under the trim in the rear. Then have to figure out where to put the plugs. Have to get some sheathing to protect the wire. Need to wander down to my local TJM as I have my eye on a strip of plugs they have there. Will also need circuit breakers, which I might use instead of fuses.
That just leaves the question of whether I bother installing a DC-DC charger to boost the charge. What do you think?
Incidentally, I've decided I wasn't designed to be an auto sparky - you need fingers 1cm thick and a metre long for that job, I reckon.

Just make sure you put a fuse or circuit breaker at the battery end incase the wire shorts on something.
