    Lf central locking

Looks like the cook has stuffed the pasenger side central locking actuator it wont lock with out pressing down the knob but unlocks ok this is what's got me stuffed as I would of thought if it was broken it wouldn't work at all. Any ideas before I strip the door trim off.

Maybe there's a banana jamming the mechanism?

When trying to lock, does it move at all? Wiggle a little but not go down? Mine do that constantly and my guess is dust and dirt. A good clean might fix it.

Regardless, I would say door card off. It's a pain with all the plastic trim clips and exactly why my locks have been broken for months.

Yeah it goes down a bit then comes up again. I really dont want to pull the trim off for the reasons you mentioned. What started the problem was the car was locked with the passenger door open

Same as what mine does... I would guess the timing is just a coincidence.

You can try some compressed air then spray lube through any gap you can find at the lock mechanism and you might get lucky for a while, but I'll bet you it starts happening again after a while. I fixed my back door locks by spraying silicone spray through the child lock switch. Totally fixed it....for a few weeks.

Actually, one last thought. Apparently there are small springs that can break and are replaceable for a few dollars from UK. Search for disco door lock spring and you should find something.

The spring stops it popping up so that's not my problem. I know all about how much of a pain the tailgate lock is I spent an hour pulling it out and changing that spring its a *****
