4BD1 Disco

I hear you AM if you can't fix it with a hammer it is an electrical problem:D. Did they ever bring the 4bd2t to Aus. It was made up till 98 and is a little more emission compliant. I think the 4.7 may be a bit big for the disco. Great for the defender!

It is a bit difficult to get a pic of the engine casting numbers with the turbo in that location on mine . The ADR plate on the rocker cover clearly states the engine is designed to comply with ADR30 on 5/95. It was a new truck engine when I bought it.

G'day Brain,i think Tim done that conversion to a RRC not that long ago(not a 100% sure though). You probably already have but have you talked to him about it? Sorry i can't be more help.

4BD1T's were fitted to Isuzu NPR's until around 1994 in different parts of the world.

In Australia in 1993 according to the Isuzu Historical archive: http://www.aulro.com/afvb/isuzu-land...l-archive.html
It was replaced with the 4HF1 after that.
