    3" suspension lift

Hello guys I am looking at doing a 3" suspension lift in a disco 1 !! Is three inches going to be a problem with uni's and other parts !
From what I have read I will have to run castor correction bushes and maybe a adjustable pannard Rod

    Cheers Dustin

I have a 3 " lift in mine but it was supposed to be only 40mm going by the specs, not had any problems with abnormal uni or coupling wear and have not fitted caster correction bushes yet ( although i do have them and will fit shortly).
Honestly i would just stick to the standard 2" lift .

Personally myself I don't think a 3" lift is required and I have been looking into suspension alot lately as am about to do mine.

Currently I have 265/75/16 tyres which I think is nearly a 32" tyre no suspension lift in fact quite saggy suspension year gaurd has a slight cut as does front bumper but I haven't as yet encountered any problem with tyres rubbing on anything other than full lock as I haven't adjusted the screws yet to stop that.

So unless your going huge tyres I don't believe 3" suspension lift is required at all and it will just end up raising center of gravity I think anymore than 2" is to much and honestly I don't even think I will be lifting much if any myself.
I would be extremely happy if I could get 33" tyres with as minimal lift as possible and at least then the lift is below the diffs increasing ground clearance.

3" is too much for some and not enough for others. Depends what you want and need, but its not only about tyre clearance.

for me I found the ideal compromise was 4" - 2" suspension and 2" body lift. Very flexy set up too. With the right springs and Shocks also removed the sway bar and it handled just as well around our twisty hills roads - the right set up handles body roll. No probs with castor this way either or drive shaft angularity. It was +2" EFS springs with Pro-comp 27" rear shocks and EFS fronts. ps. was running 245/75/16's then it went to 265/75/16's when my son took it over..... no rubs on full lock, rims were 0 offset.

Body lift is out if you have airbags otherwise the 2"+2" is ideal.
