    Cutting out right after starting

ok so I've got the other motor in the disco 1 now. from another disco 1 v8 running LPG as well.

Now my issue is, it starts fine ,starts healthy but it cuts out after about 1-2 seconds.

Last night when the technician had it all going he said it ran for about 20 seconds then acted like it was out of fuel. started it again and it only stayed on for 1-2 seconds. and since then it's been the same. I've just put more petrol in and its 3/4 full now.

But alas, when I start it it'll stay on for a second. So I know the fuel pump works. But its similar to just shutting the engine off. So I dont know if the immobilizer is playing tricks of what but I'm able to unlock the door by remote etc and dont see any alarms coming up

Ok May not be the same thing but mine did the same thing a couple of times and turned out to be the ignition switch that was faulty ( worn out). Changed the switch assembly and now works fine. The owner before had reported the same fault but was never found. I only found it by chance.

found a few hoses missing LOL

it now runs but you have to rev it. Does not idle. Probably more hoses or the idle stepper

The first thing i'd do is put in a new genuine rotor in the dissy.
I've lost count of the number of unusual problems that come back to a bad rotor.

As soon as I read the idle issue I though - engine fitted with an aftermarket rotor.

And Vogue is also on the same track.

Get a Lucas rotor fitted and see if the issue is still there.
