Question Broken Auto Gearbox Mounts on a '96 D1

    Guys.....

Got the Auto serviced on my Disco & he informed me that I've got a broken Rear Rubber Mount on the Auto. I had a look and was surprised as to how small they are..... Is there a Aftermarket option that is stronger or is OEM the only option to replace them with?

I was thinking there might be a stronger option out there..... be it a different LR model or off a completely different vehicle

There's nothing wrong with genuine IMO but they might all (engine too) be due for replacement if they're getting close to 20 years old.

Yep, 18 years is a long time for a rubber mount.

If you ever get stuck and need a spare, the same mount is used to secure the harmonic damper on the front diff (assuming it hasn't fallen off):
