    Diff housing

Hey all well I been looking over this diff housing I picked up and I did notice when I got it that it has taken a rather hard knock on the front, the guy I got it off said his missus hit a stump in the grass and he pulled it apart the check the crown wheel wasn't rubbing and said it was fine, but my question is would a knock hard enough to put a dent shown in the picture v bee enough to bend the housing it looks straight but I dont have another to compare it to

When you pull the diff centre out, lay a long straight edge across the centre mating surface and measure, either by eye or tape measure the same point on both sides, Regards Frank.
