I suppose it does look like that! It's just conveyor belting to help drive up the sand dunes.

The place is called "The Deeps". It is on a 4wd track past Lowlands beach which is West of Albany. The ocean can be pretty rough down there.

This weekend just gone...just before the snow...went up to the VIC High Country and had a great time (until I spent a long time on a track only to find the map was wrong and it was in fact a dead end and a locked gate meant I had to turn back...I knew I had enough fuel in case this happened but it was still very annoying)

Sure is...Blue Rag Range Trig! I'm a land surveyor too so these trig points are of extra nerdy interest to me Shame though there was so much fog when I was up there I didn't get to appreciate the amazing views, so I'll just have to make another visit another time...oh well

Fixed the leak in the front diff, crack in the pumpkin, under the bash plate
Replaced blocked breather hose, which prob didn't help with the leak.

Haha..I also was a surveyor - but have retrained into another field.
Have enjoyed travelling Len Beadells tracks ( in the D1) and reading about his exploits-driving landies, surveying and otherwise.
Did you try to get down to the river from the trig point?
