Will see how durable it is I guess, but definitely nice to be able to quickly see coolant level.
It's not as overfull as it looks .. angled forward, it didn't lose as much as I expected during bleeding.
Took the D1 to a local motor trimmer who does work for Land Rover and was well versed in Discovery's. Got my seat base diaphragm repaired properly (took the ratchet straps off!) and finally got the seat runners sorted (swapped bits from a spare seat). He did a brilliant job. Now onto the next jobs!
Always something to do on the Disco. On Thursday someone in traffic alerted me to the fact I had no brake lights. Got to work and tested the brake switch and it was not working, luckily I didn't need the car Friday and Bursons could get a switch for me. New switch fitted on the weekend and I now have brake lights much to the relief of people behind me.
I do that pretty much all the time. Most of the time to drivers of quite new vehicles too!. Sometimes hard to catch them in time.Quote:

Got home, first thing to check was the easiest of the items in order .. fuse. Sure enough blown.
Can't imagine why tho, all my D1 lights except for the centre high mount are all LEDs which draw pretty much zero amps.
Its timing belt time so will book it in soon.
Today I stripped the turbo off a second hand manifold.
Plan is to finally fit the hybrid cartridge in its place.
I will give the complete manifold with new turbo installed to my mech to bolt on while he has the car.
Can anyone give me a tip on how to remove the anti tamper cover on the injection pump fuel delivery screw?. It is maxed and Isuspect I will need a bit more when the new turbo is fitted- already has after market intercooler.

Think I used something small and sharp like a little flat screwdriver and a small hammer to prise up an edge to get it started. Reminds me of my old man using the term “brute strength and bloody ignorance”!
I assume you have found the article on tuning 300tdi’s, I think it is still on British Auto Parts website.
