Thread: What did you do with or to your Disco today

Replaced thd track rod tie rods and refitted winch after fixing free spool isdue.
Also washed if for first time this year

Started on my rear storage unit with fridge slide that i'm making out of aluminium tube and qubelok/connect-it connectors , ran out of material so off to the big green shed during the week.

On a roll, fitted a new mechless bt/usb/sd car stereo.
No more fumbling with disc's or jumping tracks when off road.

not so much a what did you do, but after some recent works to the car, including tcase rebuild, clutch, valve clearance etc. and possibly the perfect weather we are having in perth at the moment, but i just had to post at how beautiful my disco is to drive at the moment. feels smooth as silk and runs beautifully (touch wood) everything is just running perfectly.

Got my car bogged and had to rely on a passing Toymota to pull me out.
Quite embarrassed really. Damn 2 wheel drive!!!!

I would fix that sooner rather than later, (as you are probably aware) the stock diffs/axles do not cope well with the extra stress of 2wd

Agree mate. Just dont have another couple grand to waste on her.
Bad choice to begin with on my part and trying to make the best of a bad situation.

Which diff is kaput?
Surely somebody has a stock centre lying around they are worth next to nothing.
