Smile What I did for my D1

After doing my homework, I replaced the vacuum pump.
The lady rewarded me with progressive braking. A major improvement over the solid pedal & a hint of retarding.

The "lady" is a '97 300tdi now in PNG, via Japan.

Took the bush truck for a drive

This is the first time the bush truck has been out of the shed in 3+ years. It went into the shed as a near original truck, pic one.

The rear spring is just about to dislocate.

Happy with the progress so far, pitty it will be archived for the next 11 months while I go north for work.

GQ patrol front and 80 series cruiser rear.

The rims are a bit narrow for the tyres 34x11.5x16 jungle trekkers but I have only been using them for sitting the truck on while building.

I have a set of 285/75x16 bfg muds and 35x12.5x15 creepy crawlers to use for bush work.

Yea mate its on the "todo" list.
Front and rear lockers, axle upgrades and tailshaft upgrades.
Sadly i recently purchased another 4x4 for the wife and are forced to fix that crapper first.

Looking forward to hearing the front diff on my disco go BANG. Thats on its way out now.
Likely something to do with me smashing into stuff

Gotta admit. I throw everything at my car. It gets me home every time, all be it a bit worse than i left home.
