Yes, on a tdi leaking seals will just mean fuel running down the block.

Oil level is fine. Motor isn't running any harder/faster at a given speed, as confirmed by the tach and aftermarket temp gauge.
Guess I'll just continue to drive it and see what it does. Noticed my reverse lights aren't working again.
I plan to head on out to Perth soon to look for work there. Probably just take the highway straight there from Adelaide, but as per usual I'll likely just make up a route as I go.
Still got some stock coils and shocks sitting up on my roof if anyone is interested.
i get those comments even when im on my own. WA and id say QLD are the most anti landrover states. full of monster truck patrols and toyotas with tyres so big that even a dog could drive it without getting bogged, whilst destroying everything in their path.
water off a duck's back mate. i just laugh AT those people.
few good spots here though. hit me up when you get here.
Yeah, I've enjoyed all the comments I've caught so far. I can give as good as I get, but honestly I enjoy provin them wrong/surprising them with what it can do most.
You'd cry if you saw the 4x4's and tires all the guys back home think they need. Tires never smaller than 35"and on trucks big enough to carry a Land Cruiser in the back. Thankfully though most of those bafoons never make it out of the suburbs let alone out onto the tracks, but God help us when they do.
Just some pictures of Snafu from the trip I took:
Love the last photo!
Discovered the rear of the newly acquired Disco was fairly wet inside... mmmm.
Lift rubber matting and the foam under it - soaked!
Also find two steel rails that have been bolted in using 4 points in the floor and drilled holes in to the wheel wells. mmm, Perhaps where water has come in. Take out rails and turf that crap.
take out driver side rear fold up seat as I noticed some rust flakes from somewhere... pull all trim out and find the C channel under the cargo window has a little rust at the very back near the tail gate.
But that wasn't where the flakes were... Finally track it to the C channel above the cargo window and below the alpine window.
Now what to do with that? First thing - replace all window seals and seal up the bolt holes from the rails. Fun times :censored:
