Had to put the Disco on the charger overnight. Had to use the boat battery to boost it to fire. A week of short trips is the culprit 😈

Either Land Rover owners are by nature quite clever and resourceful, or owning one makes them that way. Good work on the mods guys.
So it looks like I have until the 1st of September to be at a job site in Minnesota, but preferably sooner. if I can manage it. And they won't be finished with the project until after January, by which time my visa will have expired. So the Disco is getting listed and hopefully sold within week. [bawl]
Doubtful. With my visa expiring before the work project ends, I'd only be able to come back on a holiday visa. And the cost to do that just to sell the vehicle would be prohibitive, probably lose money doing that.
I'd definitely come back for it in 5 years when I could import it, if someone wanted to hold onto it for me.
Turned up at the airport on saturday to collect wife, sil snd mil.
Apparently having your car covered in mud is not a good look , so i washed most of that Wombat mud off it.

Listed it in the for sale section and on gumtree. :(
Yep. As a bit of romantic and certainly a sentimentalist, it will be a hard parting. If storage wasn't so costly here I'd tuck it away until I could return, take it on another trip and then ship it back to the US.
I guess this just means I'll have to get a diesel defender or series in the future instead.
Maybe some Perth based member of AULRO will be willing to store it for you if it doesn't sell before you have to leave.
Sit it up on blocks, keep the battery charged (solar) and run it every month or so to keep everything nicely oiled/preserved. ;)
