There is no expense spared on my car.
Fitted a crappy stereo i had lying in the shed and had some extra room. Used to have a double din in there.
Decided what better way than to get some scrap wood an angle grinder and a few screws.
Then to smash it into place so everything stops moving.
Bloody beautiful! Woodgrain effect!

Dont be jealous! My creative juices were flowing![]()
Fitted a new starter motor today as i have a big trip coming up this weekend and my old one was....... old.
Also fitted a new window ecu. No big deal but it was bugging the hell out of me not having windows working. Tried the soldering trick and it worked for a while but stopped. Tried again but think i may have cooked it in doing so. Dunno but it works now with a replacement one.
3 days without the wife and kids. Not gunna lie im looking forward to it.
Did the oils and filters thing.
Gave it a flush, new cheap oil plus flush again(using CEM oil flush).
The first shot of new oil that used for the flush came out looking blacker than the black old oil!
Penrite Syn, and while super clean oil look nice, and makes one feel good inside .. just can't see the oil level on the dipstick now!
Did tappet clearances, lost one of the new washer/gromit for the tappet covers! Spent about an hour trying to work out where in hell it could have gone on a 5x8m flat gravel surface in bright light then next thing I know it's dark and I can't see stuff all in the engine bay trying to get stuff back together again.
Damned stupid LR cheapo bits and pieces! The damned low oil pressure warning sender thing must have been leaking a drop every meter or so.
Coming from between the plastic body and the metal nut and between the spade connector and the plastic body .. so the plastic body is cactus
Underside has now been rust proofed
Couldn't be stuffed getting off my comfy posterior to source a new one, so I gooped up the old one with a ton of silicon goop.
I did a welsh plug on the vacuum pump some months back the same way(even tho I have a new pump ready for when this one dies).
Thought I'd goop it up, made a nice smooth silicon plug. That one is holding very nicely, not a drop coming out of it. Hoping that this gooped up oil sender thing holds up too now.
Arthur.

Went out for some fun with the neighbours kids and mine. 2 cars me and the wife.
We were able to find some mud surprisingly but also not surprised as some of the places around here are mud all year round..
The old girl responded with the usual ROAR of the V8. Never gets old, never gets old.
Had to recover the wife in her Jackaroo at one point. Always looking for a reason to use my new winch, cant think of a better reason then pulling out the wench.......
Oh yea paid reg on the old girl too today.
Sorry for the video. Wife has no idea....
Today i decided to go a little fast on a gravel road.
Yep lost it and destroyed a rim and tyre. Damn it! Those Maxis had lasted well.
Drove it home on it thought!!!! Maxis FTW.
Oh well time to go to 35s. They were getting old anyway.
Will post pics of the carnage tomorrow!
Just happened and can only see a headlight out and rim bent and tyre torn to the ****tter.
Might have bent some steering also, cant tell yet.
Tomorrow will be interesting.
Speaking of steering, checked and adjusted swivel preload yesterday.
Only helped a little with steering wobble issue that I've been chasing.
Steering damper is next on the list.
The smearing of silicon goop is holding nicely on the oil pressure switch too.
