    V8 to Diesel motor

    Hi guys.
I'm looking to swap my 1995 v8 Discovery manual to diesel. I have a 300Tdi waiting.
    My question is.
Other than the bellhousing, what other differences are there between v8 and diesel manual gearboxes? Is the ratio different in the gearbox or transfer or both?
Also will the engine mounts require modifications.
    Thankyou in advance. Cat.

Tc is same but you will have to use the tdi box as v8 box has shorter input shaft.
Ratio's are the same across tdi and v8 , auto or manual.

Engine mounts are different and require changing. There are some good short vids on YouTube under 'silvercreekmotors' where he did a v8 to 300tdi swap. From memory he goes through differences and what needs changing in the first couple. There are 12 or 13 vids all up.

Transfer Oz should be 1.222:1 ratio or if its a later one, 1.211:1.
