Remove the interior trim and replace it.
Hi There,
I have broken off my rear window washer jet (easy to get another I know) but the real problem is that the pipe has disappeared into the panel and I don't know how to get to it.
Help please......![]()
Remove the interior trim and replace it.
MY08 TDV6 SE D3- permagrin ooh yeah
2004 Jayco Freedom tin tent
1998 Triumph Daytona T595
1974 VW Kombi bus
1958 Holden FC special sedan
Thanks for that thought but when I do remove the interior trim the pipe is located in between an inner and an outer skin which I can't get to - that is the problem. I know that it comes across the headliner and then disappears into the gap between these two panels on the rear quarter.
What I need to know is how to get it back to the hole in the outer panel......
Any thoughts?
Probably have to pull it out underneath and the use a cable puller to rethread it.
Did you know there is a revised washer jet that is about 10mm long, rather than the 30mm long monstrosity that always gets broke? Can't remember the number off hand though.

Therefore it sounds like a head liner out job?
I kind of assumed it came from outside, i was lucky, i cuould reach mine with some pliers when it happened to me.
If it runs inside them probabaly just rear pillar and a bit of side movement would do it.

Thanks Steve,
I'll poke around inside the pillar and see what I can grab with a coat hanger......

I found the pipe inside the panel with an bit of bent wire and hooked it out - took a bit of work though.
Now I have replaced it with stubby version that doesn't break off so easily.
cheers everyone.
