I have the MCC on my D1 and it seems reasonable quality. Previously the disco had an ARB bar on it but not winch compatible and i can't run a welder from my place without blowing every fuse in the joint so the cheaper option was a new bar.
positives
Fit and finish is quite reasonable. Lets remember, this is a winch bar so i did;t put it on to go to the local woolies. Its going to get scratched!
Welds look solid although not as neat as the ARB bar.
Provision for fog lights (i didn't get them and probably won't bother, the light bars and spots do the job fine)
Winch mounts between the chassis rails rather than against the face of the bar.
Negatives
It has crush cans, not required for the D1
Plastic inserts / mounts for the fog lights
It does sit lower than the ARB bar, quite a bit. So much so that i cannot find anyone that makes chassis mounted recovery points that will fit with this bar on!
If i had have known this it would have been a deal breaker.
If anyone has this bar and has encountered this problem please post a pic and explain how you got around it. Without them you can't do a snatch recovery or a double line pull which is a real concern!
I spoke with the manufacturer and they said nobody had complained about this problem which seems a little odd....

Sorry trying to upload some pics but its doing my head in. Hopefully this one works!
I know this thread is super old but anyway. I have an mcc bar on mine and have attached bash plate and recovery points. Where the bull bar bracket bolts onto the car there is a gap between the plate and the car (bad description i know) which if you jack up the car using the bullbar the bar will actually twist in towards to bonnet. Mine was almost touching the bonnet. S I weld up the gap and its tough as a rock! I actually prefer the look of the bar compared to ARB( probs cause everyone has ARB. So if u havent got one yet. the Mcc is a good option if u can weld that little gap. If u need any better info let us know.
Funny hey?
I took the bar off my old '85 Rangie to put on the D1 & had to get a metal work mate to put brackets on it to widen it about 8mm to fit the chassis & lengthen it a tad so it didn't hit the front grill surround at the bumper.
As you can see, it sits a little different on the D1.
