standard d1 rims. so standard offset. vehicle has some suspension mods but nothing out of the norm. standard height. maybe an inch more. has blue springs all round. not sure what brand. and koni shocks all round. seems prety tame and in good condition still. everything looks standard.

here is a pic of the turn stop before i adjusted it. i could only turn it two-ish turns before it was running out of thread. also, according to them they adjusted them as much as they could. judging by all the dirt and mud caked on the bolts they didnt even touch them. i had to clean them up before hand. no way my bitumen work carpark has that much loose mud. :D

It raised a few more questions.... Where is it contacting the hub? Maybe you use to have a plate on the axle side but it's been removed at some point?

Must admit that i have never seen one of those plates Justin, cant remember looking at my hubs in detail but that would stand out a bit.
Definitely not fitted to RRC's.

hmm. judging by my picture i have no plate. i will have a look at lunchtime. i do recal seeing the plates advertised or talked about when i was looking into it. possibly the thread you posted. no wonder my disco used to have such a good turning circle.

ive had a look at everything else and it seems there's nothing out of the ordinary. does 1.69m sound about right from outside of tyre to outside of opposite tyre?

I would just get hold of some 12mm UNC bolts a bit longer...

And a nut, so once they are set tighten the nut to lock them in place...

yea thats what ive done. havent fitted them yet. 12mm with a 19mm hex head. 60mm long, threaded all the way. should give me plenty of room.
