I mounted my old High Mount straight to the bar itself when I did mine years ago. No cradle as such, just cut out the section required as the Warn winch sits up higher than the bar, and bolted it up. I don't remember if it had a seperate plate between the two though.

I have a TJM Winch bullbar on my D2, The winch is not bolted to the bar but is bolted to a winch tray that is bolted in between the chassis rails.
ARB bullbars on the D2s have the winch bolted to the bullbar.

Same as my D1 ARB bar, winch mounted on plate. D2 airbag sensors must be a bit different to the D1's.

I have TJM Bar. TJM no longer make the bracket for the bar 96' D1 , would be extremely interesting in photos or mounting, as I either need to find a bracket (impossible) , engineer one or somehow go after market.
I just can't see how there's enough clearance/room to mount between chassis rails ???

    In appreciation

On my old D1 with airbags the winch mounted upside down on a cradle between the rails.

You might have more luck finding an ARB one. It doesn't mount to the bar, it merely bolts between the rails. I'll get out to mine a bit later and see if I can get you a pic.

BTW, I always thought the cradle was to stop distortion of the crash cans on the bar mounts, The used the cradle in the non airbag cars. The airbag module is under the console, isn't it?

EDIT. ARB were able to supply me with those crash cans around five years ago. They simply made them from the patterns. I had to go to their operation in Kilsyth though.

I've just pulled out a heavy duty alloy cage from between the chassis rails on my soft dash RRC that is surplus to requirements. The winch (wasn't cost effective to repair) sat inside the cage. With planned to be a tow tug/touring vehicle, a new winch would basically be extra dead weight.

I'm thinking about going to a local engineering mob and getting a cradle made up. They do lots of 4wd mods.

If I do I'll let you know disco stew.

I have a TJM bar sans cradle on my D1 and really want a winch. But I want a rear diff lock too so ..... Winch Cradle

It really is a simple thing. They'd knock one up easily.

Locker? Might be a bit far, but MD lockers are good. Maxi Drive Rear Diff
