Leaking steering box - rebuildable or replace?

I did mine few years ago, just did it in the vice on the work bench, put a whole seal kit through it, the RAVE CD was very useful, I just followed that.


As mentioned above the pitman arm can cause issues with getting it off, getting it tight again can be hard to.


Eventually it went and the bearings fell apart and damaged the shaft so I found a good 2nd hand on ebay.

Putting it back together is easy, you just need a big torque wrench to do the pitman arm nut up with, or just use a 3/4" breaker bar and wind it up really tight. :)
