    Wanted urgently. 300tdi water pump Gippsland

    Hi all. Stuck in Dargo today with seized water pump. 1995 D1 300tdi.

    Anyone know of best place to get one?
    Bursons closed. Autobarn bairnsdale says earliest Tuesday...

    Thanks . I had under estimated the Land Rover networking system 😀.
    Found one at Repco Bairnsdale and all fixed by Monday lunchtime. Cheers. Neil

    I had urgent need of a water pump. I checked the water and oil before letting it idle for a few minutes to warm up and driving about 40km. All good. Drove to the nearest servo, all good (checking the digital temp guage). Started the engine after fuelling up at the bowser and heard this brief squealing/crunching sound. Stopped 50 yards from the bowser got out and saw some liquid on the front passenger tyre. Had a better look and I could see coolant all over the ground and a trail from the bowser. The pump had collapsed. I was at Cocklebiddy. From memory, the pump is only about 12 months old and isn't a britpart one. Will carry a spare in future.

    Thank God for NRMA premium cover. 434 km recovery to Norseman (which the tow driver charges $2.50 each way to NRMA).

    Who said $199.00 per year for premium cover isn't worth it?
