    Dashbaord light symbols

    Hi all
I am new to this site and have got to say it has been very helpful with fixing certain things on my d1.
I do have a problem now with a couple of lights on the dashboard that wont go out and not sure what they mean. I took a photo but not sure how to put photo up on here.
One is a small bright red light in the bottom centre of dashboard, I think it may have something to do with the immobiliser. The second is a light at the top centre that says "ANTI LOCK" and I'm not sure what that means either.
Any help will be appreciated. thanks

Antilock is telling you that there is an ABS fault, on a D1 that it's probably a wheel sensor

Not normally, but something may have happened during the process.

Hi Alan, depending on where you are, look at the diagnostic section here (http://www.aulro.com/afvb/electronic...-2015-a-6.html) to see if there is a member near by that will hook up their system to read your faults for you.

Failing that, you can do the blink test which is described here. Discovery I - ABS Blink Code Procedure

I have a hawkeye diagnostic system now, but I have used the blink test in the past with no dramas.

    Cheers,
    Tom.

Oh wow. That looks way out of my comfort zone. Give me anything to do with body work or engine work and i will give it a good crack at it. But electrical? That looks way to confusing for my brain. Thanks a lot for your help and ideas. Lucky im in the good books with my local machanic. I might have to ask him for some help with this one. Cheers

give it ago first, can't do any harm. Land Rovers have been making mechanics out of "normal" people for a few years now.

I really dont think i can do it lol. I got stuck on the first bit "you will need to create a jumper wire out of something close to 16 gauge wire" and then "Locate the Testbook diagnostic connector located under the dash panel. " i think being a female in her mid 40's doesnt help much lol😀
