    Front power window stuck down

I opened the front passenger window it went all the way down and made a clunk noise, the glass now sits at the bottom of the door and appears to be stuck fast in the down position the window motor makes a noise but does not drive the window up. I suspect i need to remove the electric winder mech but appears difficult with the window right down any suggestions.

Sounds like the roller has gone on the scissor mechanism. Take the door card off

First pull the lining off and investigate, may stripped the end of the gear on the regulator so you may be able to assist it up to secure it then get a new regulator

You can drill the rivet out. Centre punch and pilot drill to get things going.

Ok got it apart and out the door, cable tied a piece of conduit to the window track to hold the window fully up. There is a place in Brisbane that supplies brass replacements so will go down this track.
The motor gear had gone past the full down position and was just spinning a bit of force and it reengaged the gear drive, is there a trick to realigning the drive gear so that the window finishes in the correct position.
If there is one saving grace with Land Rovers that would be any problem you have has occured thousands of times before.

It knows where the end of the run is because it can't go any further, so there is no special position

Mine doesn't, it keeps driving the window down till gear drive disengages from the motor, just wondering if this is what broke mine in the first place
I can not see any limit switch so what tells the window to stop powering the motor when it is all the way down ?.
