    I put one in my 6x6 Forward Control Camper about 10 yrs ago no problems.
    The auto boxes were the only things that gave trouble so I have gone to the Isuzu 5 spd MSA. Should have done that in the first place.

    I doubt that the ZF would have lasted more than a week with that lump bolted to it.

    It would really depend on the flywheel mass though to smooth the V8 pulses to be as nice as a petrol V8 and the torque converter stall rpm.

    My first auto was a Turbo 700. It broke so I put in a 4L80E with 2 oil coolers it still boiled the oil so I moved it on.
