    1. How dose the a/c work in these things (i cant find a button and fan only works on the ice symbol)
    2. Checking underneath replaceing oils so all is fresh and dumped the manuel trans fluid... atf comes out.. is it normal for people to put atf in landrover manuels or am i wrong.
    3. Has a chatter when disingageing clutch in reverse over certon speeds.
    4. Has anyone got a pdf of the owners manuel and workshop for the pre 94 facelift.

Firstly, welcome to the forum and just to clarify some info. You 2 Door Disco is the same wheelbase as the 4 doors. They are both 100 inch, so although they MAY look shorter, they are actually both the same.

The owner if the Forum has a shop (button in the forum bar above) where there is a CD available for your model Disco. Link below.

It won't shift smoothly with gear oil , stick to atf.

+1(money well spent, and goes to a good cause

I dunno about the R380(which you should have), but when I replaced my 4 speed gearbox in my RRC years ago with an LT77, it used ATF type oil .. I thought it was weird too, but that's what they said to do!

AC. Ice symbol is the AC to turn it 'activate it'. The you need to turn on the fan to anything other than off, to actually get it to work.
That is, with the ice symbol on, and fan off, you don't get AC. But with the ice symbol on, and the fan at any speed, AC then comes on, hopefully you get cold air coming out after a few moments as it builds up.
When you have it on, you'll know it's on when the two electric fans at the very front of the radiators also comes on. You can hear their quiet hum.

Can't help with the clutch chatter, mine's an auto!

    ps. welcome to AULRO.

Cluch chatter aint a problem found the issue with forward chatter lose transfer case mount bolts athe the chassis... its reverse im worred about if you press the cluch in say reverseing out a drive way you can hear a chatter from the box like something is floating around but only in revese.

No large chucks came out of the gear box with the drain plug and transfer case was full and clean.

And its an lt77 looked up photos of it its definitly the box
Build date april 91 if thats any help

And as for aircon unless its set to the snow flake the blower fan dosent switch on

Heres a list of modifications ive found on the vehicle in question

2 inch old man emu lift (nitrocharger sport)
    Steel arb bull bar
    265/70/16 tires (31x10.5)
    Battery isolation box
    Exstractors
Full duel pipe front to back exhust
    Front bash plate

Thats what ive found so far and to think i swaped a 3 quater broken down vr wagon for this d1

When i have the speare play cash im gunna get the manual cd on the vehicle

Thanks for the help so far realy helping me out
