Engine oil in brake booster
Vacuum Pump has got oil going through into the brake booster with very little to no vacuum. Brake pedal is hard and not pulling up too good. Can anyone give us some guidance?

Sorry I assume your vehicle is a d1. could be the vacuum pump seals are gone internally and pumping oil into the booster. May need to replace it and the booster.

Thanks for that. It is a Discovery 1. We had suspected that this may be the case but just wanted to know if anyone else would be thinking the same as us. Appreciate your response. We have only just purchased two of the Discovery 1 vehicles and are pleased with them both. Thought we would join the forum so that we could stay well informed with these vehicles. We want to ensure that they are maintained correctly.

Just be aware When you replace the vacuum pump , if you reuse your old booster then the new vacuum pump could fail due the remaining oil in the system and void it's warranty.
Cheers, mario
