    Fuel injection putor

Is it the ECU? Is the 3.5 one much different to the 3.9 one? I'm currently running. 3.9 one on a 1991 3.5, part numbers are different but plug is the same. It runs a lot better than the old one did, although the best fuel consumption I can get is 6.7 k's to the litre or 14.9 litres/100 k's. Is that a bit much? The car has done just over 200k, it feels like it pulls ok but I have nothing to compare it to. I have no idea if the camshaft is worn but going on some comments on ALRO I can expect it to be effecting fuel consumption figures.
    Thanks

I cannot answer the question about the ECUs but 14.9 out of a D1 for mixed driving is not bad.

In my old D1 3.9 I got 14.5 cruising along the highway at a steady 100-110kph, 17 around town and 21 in heavy offroad/on the beach.

So your consumption sounds not bad .

Thanks Gary, sounds like it's somewhere near it should be.
