Realistically we are all just taking educated guesses based on what we can see in your reports.
Further tests or beginning stripdown will determine whether it is leaking down past the rings, through a dodgey head gasked or something else.
Exhaust smelling of diesel is probably cylinder 1 not achieving a complete burn.
Blue smoke is probably oil being burnt - that one is pointing at piston rings.
What makes you think it has been dusted?
The seals that failed, were these recent occurrances, what else has been done recently.
Keep up the good work.

We thought it may have been dusted because on Australia Day earlier this year when towing his camper trailer out of Eaglevale the air filter become blocked. When he stopped to change it in a safe place to pull over, the paper filter had began to suck inwards.
Turns out he may have caught it early enough.
The seal failures were recent, the seals where old. It is just Sealastic type sealant.
As you say we'll have to take the head off before being about to ascertain anything else.
