Hello all
I have a 93 200Tdi Discovery 1 that is exhibiting some electrical gremlins and I'm betting it's the fusible links that sit on top of the drivers side wing. So far my heater blower has stopped blowing (known to work); radio turns on and off, and it now refuses to turn over.... Not even clicking from the starter solenoid relay. What I'm proposing to do is use a 300Tdi fuse box; extend the loom wiring and connect the new fuse box near the coolant reservoir. However, I have a few questions that I'm hoping you kind folk could help me with:
1. I'm proposing to extend the wires and solder on loom end. Would this suffice?
2. I see the alternator fuse in the 300 fuse box is rated at 100 amps, what gauge cable would suit?
3. Does anyone have a schematic for a D1 so I can determine wires in the loom?
4. Unsure as to how the wires in a 300 terminate into the fuse box but I'm proposing a large female spade connectors into the pins underneath.
5. I see that there are 5 pins on the underside of the 300 fuse box but yet there are 6 fuses. Is the large hole at the end of the box where the wiring terminates for the 100 amp fuse?
All assistance appreciated, and thank you in advance
Kind Regards
Matthew
I guess you haven't heard about photo****it yet. ( Wonder if the swear filter will pick that up. I'll edit it if it doesn't ).
