Pretty severe oil leak all of a sudden...Fuel pump?

Woohoo found a new leak!! Pretty severe oil leak all of a sudden...Fuel pump?

So I've been monitoring my Disco like a hawk and the leaks have been pretty much nothing, then after being parked on my dad's nice clean brick driveway (because I told him it's leak free now...Silly me angered the gods) it left a pretty big oil leak all over it after only half an hour. Then when I got under it after driving it next I could see it actively dripping as I watched, kinda coming off the bottom of the motor, also maybe at the bottom of an oil cooler hose connected to the oil filter, then after cleaning everything up and driving again noticed oil dripping again but all those bits were clean...Except from behind the fuel pump which was pretty well soaked. Now I didn't clean this up before driving, but it's really wet behind there. The fuel pump was one of the new things replaced in my recent work I had done.

There doesn't seem to be any fuel leaks and I had a sniff of the dipstick and no smell of diesel there or if I run my fingers around the bottom of the fuel pump, plenty of oil though.

That's where it was coming to and dripping off.

Anyone else think this may be some other sinister nonsense or did it look pretty clear cut as a buggered gasket behind the fuel pump?

    feel around the lift pump.
    It is probably fuel.
Wouldnt be terribly surprising given what you have said about it.

I'll have another look but pretty sure it's not fuel, had a feel and then a smell and no fuel smell to be had...so for now it's just oil but I'll check again in case it's fuel.

No idea actually I just assumed they were on tight enough and the gasket may be stuffed... Guess that's a pretty good thing to check before jumping to conclusions Pretty severe oil leak all of a sudden...Fuel pump?

Cheers for that, I'll check in the morning.

Oil cooler lines eventually leak at the crimps. Degrease, go for a run and then feel for oil arounds the unions.

This is a pretty major leak so while there looked like there was a small bit of oil beneath the cooler hoses that probably isn't what I'm looking for, although would be nice to stop that too if it's leaking.

This big one I think is coming from the fuel pump but I'll get a look at it this morning with some tools and see if it's loose, but I'll be surprised if it is. Suspecting a bung gasket, but I think the pump itself is probably okay by the looks and smell of things so far.
