Huston we have a problem.Several that is.
Set of for work today. Got about five kilometers and heard a metallic tinkle noise. Just thought it was the assorted crap rattling around in the aft section of the Disco. Then I noticed the alternator light on. ( yes we all know where this is heading
) then the temp rose rapidly. So pulled into a convenient car park. Did not test my fault finding skills to much. Serpentine belt tensioner pulley had collapsed and the belt was of and still in the engine bay to one side. Disco is now fitted with a new pulley and belt. Whilst having a unexpected day off I also have replaced the rear right window regulator that has been bereft of life for a while. (thanks to Mario for his excellent suggestion of Jolly Rogers ) Just waiting for the cooling system to cool down and I will change out the radiator for a brand new one as the old ones leak has now become a
sort of leak, at least the coolant system is well flushed out now.
Cheers Hal
