Think they supply KAM gear.

If you were going to replace and upgrade cv joints and front axle what would you buy?
Terrafirma is one option. Other?
Think they supply KAM gear.

I've been looking into options myself the past week or so.
ATM, I'm getting my two ATBs fitted to the diffs(I have no idea how and what, so get a professional to do that work).
So started looking into all the other bits that could break.
CV's from Ashcroft are a bit of minefield for the D1.
You will need to fit new axle shafts as well .. no way around it.
Probably a good thing with HD half shafts .. but just be aware that it won't just be the cost of the Ashcroft HD CV to take into account.
I'm actually doing it the other way around tho(in a sense)
Once my diffs are done, and when I get the time to install them, I'll assess the condition of the axle splines. If they need replacement due to wear, I'm going to start the process of changing the axles, and therefore have to do the CVs(probably Ashcrofts) as well.
Haven't looked into any other CV/axle products yet.

I wouldnt go ATBs in both diffs. I bought ashcroft cv and axles and have truetrac in front and arb locker in rear. Havent put axles in yet but im happy with truetrac in front and rear locker worked flawlessly on its first time out today.
Every truetrac or atb ive seen for sale someone has pulled out of rear to fit a locker.
Horses for courses I guess.
Brother got his TD5(D2) with lockers front and rear(but no centre diff lock conversion!)
Once I got my ATBs in(hopefully 2 weeks or so) .. I'll get him out into some 'bog holes' and we'll do a bit of a comparo type of thing.
Eventually, I'll get an ATB in my centre diff too, but I only just got the TC rebuilt about a year ago, but didn't have the time to get an ATB for it arranged.

I wouldnt go a locker in the front ruins your ability to turn. Truetrac/ATB work well so far and i'm happy with it in the front. I think i'm glad i went a rear locker o far complete even traction in the rear made a huge difference of coarse without having a ATB in rear i couldnt say its an improvement but i think its better.
Of coarse horses for courses. I find now 4wding in high country its not really fun unless there's some sort of challenge i'm not out there with big tyres tearing up the tracks but i like the challenge of overcoming obsticles. I think if you're not going the to do harder stuff atb's would be a better option theyre definitely set and forget compared to an air locker
I have Truetracs front and rear. I have been very impressed with the traction improvement they give.
I have hardly lost traction since I got them - except in sand country and they are good there to.
But I dont go looking for trouble ( ie rock hopping or deep mud fun) when I drive - I just want to feel confident that I have a capable enough vehicle to get from A to B.
I've got Trutrack front and Detroit locker in the rear. I get my thrills by walking over obstacles that have the ToyNisMit brigade burning tyres and breaking cvs!
