Always a tough question. Over the years, I have balanced up what the vehicle owes me, how long I would intend to keep it etc. In your scenario, if the car has only done 130000km, it may be better for you to spend the money repairing it, in hope that there isn't too much else wrong with it.... having done the low k's....you could outlay more money on another vehicle and still have to spend money on other repairs.
I owned a car for 10yrs once, paid a low purchase price as it had done high kms...spent $5k on it over 10yrs, and sold it for scrap value at the end. Was still a lot cheaper than buying a new car on finance, or buying a more expensive 2nd hand one and still having some sort of repairs, as they do.
