Penrite oils should have the zinc additive to suit flat tappet engines, check the packet. 10W-50 should be fine, that's what I put in all my customers serpentine belt V8's over the last few years.
As for oil draining, use a piece of tin bent into a vee shape to catch the oil and direct it into the drain pan. Or get one of those suction pumps and shove it down the dip stick tube.

last time changed the oil it wasn't so full so I wasn't expecting the Hoover dam to burst....i have a tom thumb probs get a few litres out 1st next time.
