Help please - Diameter of D1 steering column

    Hi All,
I have an odd request. I have an old UK mini I'm doing up and the ignition lock/switch is missing and they're no longer made so I'm searching for alternatives. The disco 1 switch looks similar STC1435 1994-1998 model the clamp part seems a similar diameter but I just need someone with a D1 to please have a look and measure the column diameter to confirm if I can use it or not. Thanks guys!LR ignition.jpg

Thanks mate that sounds about right, it's down to either that one or a RRC or and MGB which all look like they could fit. Thanks again

Be aware that even new locks packed in green boxes marked Lucas are all garbage made in China and may or may not last a few months before failing. My mate only got six months out of his by the simple expedient of being overseas for 3 of those months.
