    Temp switch on thermo housing.

I have been running this with an electric fan that I switch manually when off road when it gets to 90 odd degrees C.
That big switch on the Thermo housing, what is it for and could I use it to switch my fan?
What is its working switch on temp? I can find no data on it.

You are probably talking about the A/C temperature switch. You can use the spot but you need a switch with the correct range.

    ....
Temp range is stated as 115-109°C.
Probably a bit too hot for coolant usage.

Tridon have a couple in an appropriate temp range:
    TFS100 90-80C
    TFS102 90-85C

of course they also have other temp ranges all M22x1.5 .. so should fit nicely.
