I have an old brake rotor, I'll bolt that to the hub then I'll have something to belt with a heavy hammer.

I had a RRC do this years ago i just belted and belted till the bearing fell apart and the hub came off but left the collar welded to the stub [bigsad]
Then simply a 1mm cutting disc i carefully cut the collar almost to the stub then used a cold chisel to split it and remove the rest of it .
The with some patience cleaned up the stub with a flap disc and file and some happy motoring for a couple of years till some other sucker purchased the car.
You might not be lucky enough to save the stub so be prepared just in case [wink11]
I actually just managed to get it off! I bolted an old drum up to the hub and belted the crap out of it, a few more hits and drum would have shattered it's full of cracks now . Same as you the collar and half the inner bearing is stuck on still. I'll tackle it tommorow with the grinder hopfully the stub survives the carnage!
Cheers
