    1993 D1 central locking cycling

My sons 1993 rossi D1 just started cycling the central locking motors when you try to unlock/lock the drivers door. If you jiggle the lock fast it stops but it seems the passenger door and rear door motors are now not actually unlocking the doors, just the motor making noise.

any tips on where to start looking to solve the issue?

We would be fine if we could even just disable all the central locking motors and use the key to unlock the doors.

    cheers

Obviously hard to diagnose, but sounds like wires have perished and bare wires touching somewhere and causing the cycling.
There should be a fuse you can pull to disable them.

driver side lower panel. Open it up, and fuse locations(and description) should be noted on the drop down panel.

You're looking for Fuse C3 (15amp). From memory 15A blade fuse should be blue.
At the least this should stop the cycling.
    Arthur.

rapid cycling is usually caused by the master lock (drivers door) not staying over center and being pushed or pulled back by the door lock mechanism.

it can be from overtightened linkages if its just out of maintenance OR (and most likely) its because of worn parts that are spring loaded down stream no longer working well enough.

sometimes its just a case of dismantling the door pulling the window frame removing the lock cleaning it all up and putting it back together again.
