Well I filled up from near empty at Bright Shell with their Alpine Diesel, put a 300ml dose of the Lucas additive in the tank as well (as recommended by the servo) and then sat the Disco in the snow for three days straight. Sat in freezing snow and wind I think the temp was about -6 C but with wind chill who knows. Parked it up early Saturday morning and started her up Monday arvo around 2pm and glowed it twice then it started first try and didn't konk out at all...YOU BEAUTY! Ran fine on the diesel with the additive in it too, actually felt like it was running better than usual haha who knows maybe the engine likes a bit more kero ;)
Engine temp monitor didn't register anything for a few mins till it warmed up then when it hit around 17 C I took off slowly and all good. Low coolant alarm kept going off for a while though, not sure what happened there but I had a look in the bottle and it wasn't frozen or anything, didn't have a look in the radiator though maybe there was something frozen in there, didn't seem to cause a problem though drove home to Melbourne without issue.
Not a problem though, worked a treat!
