Thread: 4-bolt flange need a washer?

    What's really strange is the parts diagram above shows an M16 nut (part 16) and a M12 washer (part 18)...
    The washer i want is invisible
    97 Disco 300Tdi, front & rear diff locked, hybrid turbo, full width intercooler, cranked front & rear arms,
    2” dobinson coils, terrafirma shocks, HD steering arms, diff guards, rocksliders, domin8r winch, tank guard

    Thanks, i read that before.

    Interestingly they state:
    Pinion Flange attachment

    There are different ways of attaching pinion flanges. On a Rover or P38 type, it could be:


    Notice that the nyloc nut has no washer listed next to it!!! But in the images it shows a washer under a nyloc nut...

    so whoever wrote the page forgot about the washer obviously.
    And the washer listed for the castellated nut is superceded by FTC5413 which is for the 12mm pinion shaft.

    Maybe i have a salisbury diff:

    Salisbury axles all have a nut 90608545 and washer 607357.
    97 Disco 300Tdi, front & rear diff locked, hybrid turbo, full width intercooler, cranked front & rear arms,
    2” dobinson coils, terrafirma shocks, HD steering arms, diff guards, rocksliders, domin8r winch, tank guard
