Probably help if we knew what vehicle, but I assume it is either a Defender (or 110/90) or a D1. In either case the easiest would be an auto out of a Discovery with the same engine.
G'day.
I think I might have damaged my lower spine a little bit when I fell off Me Roof a few months ago.
Pumping the clutch up and down makes Me Back ache.
So, has anybody swapped an LT77 manual for an auto box ?
What would fit ?
Ta.

Make sure that you get an inlet manifold and accelerator linkages with the auto, as the most difficult thing to do will be to set up the kickdown cable.
Really IMHO, you would be best to by another D1 v8 with good auto, as they are cheap as chips.

OMG.
Me Disco is me pride and joy, I have left instructions to be buried in it.
I just resprayed it a few weeks ago.
After the respray I think I proberly have the best looking early Disco in the state, umm, if not the world.
I wouldn't mind putting a P38 gems engine and gearbox in The Thingy ( I had a P38 as a shopping basket, I gave it to Me Bro and he traded it, grr ). I still have the Nanocom for it.
I wonder which workshop does these swaps.
Might be easier to do a body swap of your good body on to a donor chassis with v8 and auto drivetrain.
