Where is best to get some D1 interior trim bits?

    Hi all,

Im chasing come interior trim bits for my 1998 D1, the most urgent is the centre dash fascia trim that surround the vents, stereo, heater controls etc.

Chasing a few other bits and pieces.

I've run a few of the LR specialists but they don't have anything and contacted a few people on EBay that are wrecking disco's but haven't had much luck.

    Any recommendations?

    Thanks, Matt

Now, there's a blast from the past! Good to see you back, Matt. I hope you're still enjoying police work. Disco Muppet is now a policeman out your way (I think).

Have you tried Bundalene on this forum? He (Erich) was/is a Disco dismantler.

    Hi Ron,

I'm still here, I am always lurking, just not posting as much these days.

I am still technically in the cops but i've been off for the last 12 months using long service leave up and will soon be rolling in to leave without pay. In Feb last year I took up running my own 4wd shop full time, and I am Opposite Lock Bathurst as well.

So far going well, hoping to build further on a successful 2019. Address is in my signature if you are ever in the area and want to drop in.

I'll shoot Bundalene a message and see what he has.

    Thanks, Matt

Hi Matt - I have some good ones - pretty sure aD2 facia is the same if you can find one.
Send me a PM to discuss price etc- what other parts do you need as I have quite a few good interior parts.
On the last D2 and D1 I restored I reinforced most of the plastic parts with bendable alloy and sickaflex - this ensures they never break again.
I am in QLD sunshine coast.
    1998 D1 in showroom condition, 1999 D2 TD5 with everything, 2000 P38 showroom condition.

Hi mate, as p38arover said im 20yrs shy of 60, but i've over 10yrs in the cops, 2/3's of that have been in Police Rescue so you see things that cant be unseen.

I have always wanted to turn The 4wd Zone from a hobby website to a full time business.

I made the step to online only seriously back in 2014, relaunched the website in 2017 and then at the end of 2018 the opportunity to presented itself to use leave from the government to give a full time bricks and mortar store a crack.

In the process of ringing around hunting down suppliers one give my details to OL who contacted me to talk about becoming the dealer for Bathurst as they'd seen an opportunity in the market. The rest is history.

    Matt

Well done. No doubt you will take lots of skills to the new job.

2020 will see 34 for me so I’m closer to 60.
