    Repco RCT pads, pseudo review.

Just a quick update on these pads on my D1.
Fitted about 2 weeks ago now.
First up I'm a very 'light braker' so to speak. So don't really need fade resistance and stuff .. but obviously nice to have.

So I thought I really should test them a bit more on this aspect of ability.
So far so good. Just did a random hard braking run home .. basically just for the hell of it trying to get them to fade a little.
Zero, compared to the old TRW pads they replaced. TRWs would fade(not totally) .. just require a lot more brake effort when hotter, so it was obvious that they were fading, and I'd expect that at some point fade badly too.

Not so with the RCTs(yet). Twas a hot night(humid, maybe high 20's) and did a mad rush(for no reason) through some suburban streets .. just to see if they'd get hot. So far so good.
Couldn't detect any need for more pedal pressure than usual, if there was, it was minimal(ie. undetectable).

May go for a drive on Sunday. There's a steep hill no far away, where the TRWs had faded to a degree Not fatally, just enough to make me think, should change them. Just hope there's no traffic.

ps. mine is non ABS and non vented fronts too.

The other thing I'll try to do is get bro to change his D2's pads too. His feel like my TRWs used too. X kg's of pedal force created Y m/s2 deceleration, whereas now mine feels more like twice more slow down by comparison.
Would be interesting to see if he gets similar results too.

The wires would be wear indicators.
All RRCs from 1989? on had wear indicators. ( which came on at about 1.5 MM left, which upset me when I was at Kosciusko once )
