Question 1996 D1 Electric Window Issues with the Drivers Front Window??

    Hey Guys...

Just wondering if the same issue that been talked about with the rear windows not being able to go Up/down due to a dry solder joint on the PC board would also effect the Drivers Window from not raising/lowering?

I've replaced the switch with a spare I had but it is again playing up, so I'm thinking it might be again related to the PC board ??

    Ideas/suggestions ??

Do you know if the spare is ok? Have you swapped a known good one to test? I have had faulty brand new parts in the past.

Have you cleaned the connectors and checked the earth?

They get a dry solder on the circuit board. Either replace or remove and repair. There will be a how to on here or on the web. Mine has had this problem.

OK, so this Dry solder joint can effect all windows in the car then? I thought the common issue was just the rear windows

It's a LR, and more importantly a D1. Reflow the board. What do you have to lose?

Is there anyway to bypass the PC board and just use the existing wiring (if possible) and use momentary Toggle Switches to raise/lower windows?
